Hats has always played a major role in every generation thus far, and most definitely in the ones to come. The trucker hat came about in the 70's(history) as giveaways to traveling workers as a form of advertisement (genius). This five panel design hat, with its mesh back and snapback closure (design) has earned the hat a seat at the table by its popularity.
